Privacy & request handling
The designated privacy contact for WeddingPhotosNYC.com is the Privacy Lead. The site is designed to collect only information reasonably needed to understand, route, respond to and document a request.
Information collected
Depending on the form, we may collect your name, contact details, location or service area, request details, provider/business information and basic referral/UTM information for attribution and security.
Why it is used
Information is used to classify requests, identify relevant provider categories, communicate about a request, prevent abuse and duplicates, measure performance, and maintain consent or business records.
Provider sharing
Where you expressly request matching, relevant request information may be shared with independent providers solely so they can evaluate and respond to that specific request. Provider rules do not authorize resale or unrelated marketing.
Service providers and cross-border processing
Hosting, form processing, security, email and lead-management providers may process information on our behalf, including outside your province, state or country in jurisdictions whose laws may differ.
Event information
Do not upload identity documents, payment details, private guest lists or other sensitive material. The matching form is designed for date, location, style, coverage and contact details only.
Optional external links
If you provide a venue, portfolio, Pinterest, Instagram or other inspiration link, it is used only to understand the requested photography fit. Do not provide private or restricted-access links that expose information you do not want a prospective photographer to see.
Retention
Unmatched photography requests are targeted for deletion or de-identification within 180 days. Records for an active match may be kept through the event-planning period and generally no longer than 18 months from submission, unless needed for a transaction, complaint, consent record or legal obligation. Provider profiles are reviewed periodically.
Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion where appropriate, or withdraw consent for future provider sharing. Withdrawal cannot undo a disclosure made before the request is received. Reasonable verification may be required.
Security & minimization
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information under our control. Do not submit passwords, government identifiers, payment-card details, confidential records or other information not needed for the request.
